What is The Fristads Green Collection?

Fristads Green is a concept where the entire manufacturing chain is permeated by environmental thinking and innovative solutions to ensure a minimum footprint on the environment. Fristads first launched their Fristads Green collection in the autumn of 2019 and were the first clothing producer in the world to introduce a new standard for measuring the total environmental impact of a garment – from choice of material to delivery of the finished garment. What is an EPD?

All Fristads Green products have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) with information about the product's total environmental impact. The EPD measures the impact in four main areas: material, construction, production, and delivery. EPDs are based on the ISO 14025 standard and the scientific footprinting method Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). An LCA calculates the environmental footprint of a product throughout its lifecycle – expressed in 15+ impact outcomes.
